Family Involvement:
Addiction and compulsive behaviors are very stressful to family relationships. Addressing family issues becomes an important aspect of obtaining and maintaining long-term recovery. Santé provides integrated therapy with spouse, older children, family members, and other significant relation ships. Through an individualized program for couples and/or family members, Santé provides practice for responding differently to situations that, in the past, would have been a catalyst for addictive behaviors or relapse. The focus of the program is on solutions and healing, rather than staying stuck in problem-oriented discussions. At admission, you will be asked to complete a list of those you would like involved in your healing process. Please bring phone numbers and addresses of those individuals. Each patient receives up to ten hours of family therapy at no additional charge. If necessary, additional family therapy can be arranged for an additional fee. Santé also offers family groups on Tuesday evenings for those patient’s families within driving distance of campus. All family members and friends (age 18 and older) are encouraged to attend. This program is provided free of charge. Your family will be provided additional information regarding the family program upon your admission.

Due to the intensive schedule for the program, we ask that whenever possible, visits from family and friends be limited to scheduled visitation times: 2:00pm – 5:00pm on Saturday and Sunday. If these times are not feasible for your vi sitors, please inform your case manager upon arrival to Santé and alternative times may be arranged.
